Hiroshima & Kyoto

Hiroshima in 1 day and Kyoto in 2 days

Once again we manage to get time to sit at a comp and give you guys an update on whats been happening.

We were in Hiroshima 2 days ago where we visted the famous floating Tori. Apparently its one of the most photographed picture.... Their specialty in Hiroshima is Oysters. You can smell them cooking it from a mile away as they BBQ the oysters and everyone is lining up for it hehe... yeah coulnt help ourselves here and ordered half a dozen.. They are pretty BIG oysters too hehe.. This is prob one of the best meals we had since being in Japan.
We also visted the A Bomb site (Atomic Bomb). Its quite sad visiting such a place where hundreds of thousands had died from 1 BOMB which was only 3 meters in size. Anyways as our journey continues we are now at Kyoto.

Kyoto - Here we hired 2 bikes to get around as it is more convenient then the buses or subways.. The first day we explored half of Kyoto as most of the time we got lost hehehe... but managed to visit a temple and a palace.
They had one of the largest festivals on today which we went to. We also visted a geisha town and what do you know Lay spotted a Geisha and was ALL EXCITED hehe .. its pretty rare to see a Geisha in this time of day..

We went to their famous food market and it was fascinating to see what they had to offer. They even had fresh seafood on a stick haha... no thanks... haha...
The Japanese manage to pickle every vegetable there is under the sun cause they even had pickled pumpkin!!!! WTF LOL.... TASTY thou :)

We will be heading out to Takayama (Country side of Japan) tomorrow for 2 days before heading to Tokyo.

Oh yeah we finally ate sushi & sashimi!! wooohoooo..

We miss you all and hope you guys are having just as much FUN as we are hehehehehehe :)

Konbanwa from Kyoto.

hey mate!

Great to see you are enjoying japan so much! I stumbled across your blog when I was updating mine, lol

Didnt manage to get out to the fire festival but managed to watch most of the imperial walk through the rest of the city. Since we didnt bump into each other there (way to big to chance into each other really) I will keep tabs on you here and see you in a few weeks.
